PTCL is also one of the leading employers in the tech sector, with over 10,000 employees. In July 2016, it became the first Pakistani telecom company to join the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) approved list of companies that can transfer data from EU citizens to other countries.

4) Telenor

The company has been operational for over 20 years and provides a wide range of services including voice, data, and digital communication solutions. Telenor is also one of the largest employers in the country, with over 9,000 employees. Faisalabad Telenor Tower is the tallest building in Pakistan as well as one of the tallest buildings in Asia. The tower stands 275 meters tall and dominates the city’s skyline. Telenor acquired Zong, one of Pakistan’s major mobile operators in 2014 which made it a direct competitor to Jazz (now Warid). Its subsidiary company Globalcom operates under its license for the fixed-line communications sector. It has played an instrumental role in developing mobile networks across the globe from Afghanistan to Bangladesh to Kuwait.

5) Paktel

Paktel is a leading telecommunications service provider in Pakistan. They offer a wide range of services including voice, data, and internet services.
